The VisitColchester Information Centre is situated in the heart of the historic town centre, within minutes of award winning museums, central shopping area and places to eat and drink.

Visit us in person for help planning your visit with ideas for things to do and places to visit locally, to book accommodation and tickets for local events and guided tours, assistance with travel plans, information on the rest of Great Britain and much more.
If you are unable to make it in to visit us at our centre you can get all those must have Colchester goodies from our online shop which is now up and running. You can purchase items from the Colchester Collection to make your holiday last that little bit longer. The centre offers access to wheelchair users and people with disabilities as well as pushchairs. A range of gifts, souvenirs and treats made by local companies, artists and craftspeople under the 'Colchester Collection' name and unique to the Information Centre are available here. Guided Tours run from March through to October on Saturday at 11.30am, during july and August tours are available every day at 11.30am except sunday at 2.00pm. We are open all year round: Easter to end of June and September & October; Mon,Tue,Thurs,Fri,Sat 9:30am-17:00pm, Wed 10:00am-17:00pm, July & August Mon,Tue,Thurs,Fri,Sat 9:30am-17:00pm, Wed 10:00am-17:00pm, Sun 11:00am-16:00pm;October to Easter Mon,Tue,Wed,Thurs,Fri,Sat 10:00am-17:00pm.
If you are visiting outside of these hours you can access information using our electronic information Kiosk on the outside of the building. You can access information on accommodation, attractions, events and emergency information.
